Mark Wahlberg: 'The Help' Made Me Cry 'Seven Or Eight Times'

Tough guy Mark Wahlberg might not be so tough after all: The "Contraband" star admitted in a new interview with Redbook, that only did "The Help," make him cry, but he cried "seven or eight times." Even his wife, Rhea Durham, made fun of him for that one, he said.

But it's not just the Oscar-nominated flick that got the tears flowing: Wahlberg also said that watching Disney's "Tangled" started the waterworks: "I was bawling my eyes out because it's about a girl who gets taken away from her parents. Any movies where kids are taken from their parents just tear me up."

His own film, "The Lovely Bones," in which his screen daughter Saoirse Ronan was murdered. must have been really rough, then. Maybe that's what inspired him, as he told Redbook, to treat his two daughters differently than his two sons. "My boys drive dirt bikes and wrestle with me. I don't let my girls out of the house!"

So what does he do with the girls? Why, play Barbies, of course. (Hey, Johnny Depp does too. All the cool dads are doing it.)

The star added, "I think I finally became a good and real man when I had a daughter. I definitely have a newfound respect for women. Women don't get the credit they deserve.... As far as I'm concerned, there's no job more important on the planet than being a mom."

Being a mom is an important job. Speaking of which, say hello to your mother for me.

Oh come on Marky Mark (I'm a big fan btw), but saying you cried 7 or 8 times is just overkill.

My flight to Edmonton was so rough, I don't think Mark Wahlberg could have landed it.
