Selena Gomez is going to have a movie career no matter how many times she has to hit repeat-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat.

Per Deadline, Gomez (better known as *DYING* OMG WHY IS JUSTIN BIEBER DATING HER *DYING*) will produce a big-screen adaptation of "The Sky Is Everywhere," a young adult novel by Jandy Nelson about a high school band geek who has her world torn apart when her older sister dies suddenly. Gomez and her company, July Moon, will develop the film as a star vehicle for the 19-year-old.

The actress hasn't had much luck transitioning from Disney tween star to movie star: Gomez was the titular Beezus in "Ramona and Beezus," which earned just $26 million at the box office, and led "Monte Carlo," which grossed just $23 million last summer. Of course, she also sings the hilariously catchy "Love You Like a Love Song" and can rap the hell out of Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass," so she's actually doing just fine.
