I saw The Iron Lady to night. The best actress for this year and next year and every year should belong to Meryl Streep. She is fantastic and I don't know what happened to Cinema we don't had Meryl Streep.

Dear Sirs, I saw the movie the decendents, Actually it stunk. You kept waiting for something to happen. My friend and I had a hard time staying through the whole thing. The only thing I liked about it was he didn't sell the land. Plus he barried his wife at sea wich was appropriet .
Don't give an award to this movie it isn't quality viewing. LE

I really don't understand the fascination over "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo". I recently saw the original Swedish version and it was no Ingmar Bergman film. Maybe the English version is more polished. Lisbeth Salander is as psychotic as the people she seeks revenge against. Where do you draw the line between victim and victimizer? She is a vigilante at best and a complete psycho at worst. The only thing I came away from watching the film is that I need to read the book because the characters in the moive came across as bland and lifeless. I am glad the English version didn't get nominated. I am also glad that Almodovar's latest perversion didn't make the list for best foreign film.

So when the character being played is psychotic, and an actor/actress plays the role well, the performance is too realistic to appeal to you? Rooney Mara was tremendous, even if you dont like psychotics in reality.

I saw "The Descendants" and after I saw it I wonder:
best movie ????
best actor ????
REALLY ????

it should've been either: Harry Potter ór The Girl with Dragon Tattoo for Best movie &
Michael Fassbender for best actor, instead of cloon-ey and his movie...
go figures, the critics like him

Drive and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo were completely snubbed. Both deserved "best pic" and "best director" although I'm really happy to see Rooney Mara got nominated.

Hi Kenneth - I too loved this film - it was just amazing and the performances and story were just beautiful. It must have really been something to attend the screenings with the cast. I didn't know it had been so well received at Cannes - that's fantastic!

What the hell is going on?
You want us to believe there weren't that many songs in film this year?
Bullshit!!!
Only two songs Nominated in Best Original Song?!
Why did they waste their time?
Who ever is in charge of Music in The Academy needs to be fired!
Give me "The Good Old Days" back when there would be 4 or 5 songs nominated each year.
The Best Original Song category is a Joke!!
