Elizabeth Banks: 'Tinkerbell' A Little Like Will Ferrell's 'Elf'
Elizabeth Banks, soon to be seen as the over-the-top Effie Trinket in "The Hunger Games," teased her (possible) upcoming turn as Peter Pan's possessive pixie, Tinkerbell.
Talking to Moviehole, the actress compared the upcoming "Tink" to another beloved live-action film. "[It's] sort of in the vein of 'Elf.' Tinkerbell gets thrown out of Never Never Land, and it's about where she goes and who she meets and the adventures she has ... Tinkerbell is one of the greatest characters because she's mischievous and snarky and fun and sexy and jealous and vengeful."
The busy Banks, who also co-stars in "Man on a Ledge," and the upcoming "What to Expect When You're Expecting," doesn't seem too sure about the film's future, however.
"We're in script stage and everybody is really excited and blah, blah, [but that] doesn't mean anything. You might as well not even write it down because who knows, it might not even happen." Marti Noxon (of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Fright Night" fame) is writing, with Adam Shankman set to co-produce with Banks.
