The Year of Elizabeth Olsen has stretched into 2012. The 2011 It-Girl, who made waves with her performance in "Martha Marcy May Marlene," has reportedly joined the cast of "Kill Your Darlings" opposite Daniel Radcliffe.

Per Variety, Olsen will play Edie Parker, the wealthy scholastic girlfriend of Jack Keourac (newly cast Jack Huston from "Boardwalk Empire") in the film, which focuses on the murder of a young girl at Columbia University in 1944 and the subsequent birth of the Beat Generation. Radcliffe is set to play Allen Ginsberg, the famous poet who was brought to life onscreen in 2010 by James Franco in "HOWL."

Olsen's already poised to enjoy a big 2012; the actress has two films heading to the Sundance Film Festival this month ("Red Lights" and "Liberal Arts"), and she was rumored to star opposite Dakota Fanning in "Very Good Girls."

Expect "Darlings" in theaters sometime in 2013.
