Nothing says movie adaptation of a Broadway musical more than bringing on a seasoned screenwriter known for working on action movies. According to Variety, John Logan, who's written screenplays for films such as "Gladiator," "The Last Samurai," and the upcoming 007 movie, "Skyfall," will write the script for the film version of the musical "Jersey Boys."

Jokes aside, Logan is an accomplished Oscar-nominated writer and playwright. And although some of his credits include action epics, he has written the script for a musical before: Tim Burton's "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street."

"Jersey Boys," which tells the true story of the rise of the Four Seasons, will feature classic songs like "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Oh What a Night." The film currently has no release date.
