Steven Soderbergh has been flirting with retirement for so long that he's almost in Brett Favre territory. Whether or not that break comes to fruition, at least 2012 will feature two more perfectly eccentric Soderbergh films. First up is ''Haywire,'' the Oscar-winning director's take on the action thriller with MMA fighter Gina Carano out in front of an all-star cast (Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas, Channing Tatum). Then, this summer, is the male stripper dramedy ''Magic Mike,'' which Soderbergh based on Channing Tatum's early years as a dancer. Comparisons are already being made to ''Saturday Night Fever,'' so you pretty much know it's destined to become a modern camp classic in the best way possible.
