Just in time for the end of days comes an update on that Mark Wahlberg-Justin Bieber feature film that you've been waiting for since it was announced in April. It's still probably happening! And Wahlberg is still excited about his choice to team with Bieber. "I'm prety intuitive," Wahlberg said about his decision to cast the voice-changing pop superstar in a dramatic role as an inner-city youth basketball player. "I see the guy and spent time with him and you see what he does and how he does it, and then you actually have a conversation with him and it's there. [...] If not, I will extract it."
Described as an amalgam of 'The Color of Money' and 'The Karate Kid' (obviously), the untitled film would focus on the relationship formed between Biebs's character, a street basketball player, and Wahlberg's, his reluctant mentor.
That relationship could extend off-screen as well; after all, Wahlberg was once known as Marky Mark, though he eventually ditched the Funky Bunch to become the Oscar-nominated actor and producer you know and love today. Might Bieber follow a similar path? According to Moviefone's soothsaying Magic 8-Ball, "Better not tell you now." Oh, 8-Ball; you so crafty!
