"Ah, America; the birthplace of AIDS." So says Sacha Baron Cohen's tyrannical titular ruler in the hilarious first trailer for 'The Dictator,' which combines aspects of 'Borat' and 'Bruno' into a seemingly more traditional narrative about a dictator "who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed." That apparently means heading to the United States for encounters with everyone from a government bureaucrat prone to 9/11 jokes (John C. Reilly) to a for-sale Megan Fox, as herself, who isn't keen on accepting rubies for sexual favors. "What am I, a Kardashian?" Fox sneers. Nope! It's doubtful Kim, Khloe or Kourtney would have the presence of mind to spoof themselves so gloriously onscreen.
Directed by frequent Cohen collaborator Larry Charles, 'The Dictator' -- with Cohen, Fox, Reilly, Ben Kingsley and Anna Faris -- arrives in theaters next May.
