Last month, TMZ
cornered actor Tiny Lister and he revealed that Ice Cube was planning another 'Friday'
movie with Chris Tucker. (Lister played Debo in the first two 'Friday' films.) Considering this interview was conducted in front of a Los Angeles club at, what appeared to be, very late at night, the news didn't seem all that credible. But, fear not potheads: Ice Cube's production company has just confirmed that another 'Friday' is
in the works -- possibly with the entire cast of the original film. "Absolutely, yes the studio is in the process of getting the entire original cast to do another 'Friday,'" a rep for Ice Cube's company, Cube Vision Productions, told TMZ
. "[Ice Cube] is very excited about this and has every intention to make it happen."
The first 'Friday,' which came out in 1995, followed two friends in Compton trying to settle a debt with the neighborhood drug dealer. The film starred Cube, Chris Tucker, Nia Long, Tiny Lister, John Witherspoon, Anna Maria Horsford and Regina King. Witherspoon and Ice Cube have been the only two actors to appear in all three 'Friday' movies.
No word on yet when 'Friday 4' would hit theaters. Fingers crossed for April 20?
