Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus'
(which may, but probably isn't, an 'Alien' prequel) is the director's first science fiction film in more than two decades. While plot details have been scarce, Scott recently spoke to the Wall Street Journal
about the movie (the central metaphor of 'Prometheus' is about a "higher being" who challenges the gods) and its connections to 'Alien' (the last eight minutes of the story evolve into "a pretty good DNA of 'Alien'"). Twentieth Century Fox has posted five new photos from the film, and while they don't tell us anything about the actual storyline, they do give audiences an idea of what to expect when it hits theaters on June 8, 2012. Check them out ahead.
'Prometheus,' which was co-written by Damon Lindelof ('Lost'), stars Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Guy Pearce and Idris Elba.
