The awards buzz keeps rolling for 'The Artist,' which received five Spirit nominations on Tuesday, as did the lesser-known indie 'Take Shelter,' starring Michael Shannon as a father with apocalyptic visions. Shannon was nominated for Best Male Lead, along with 'The Artist's Jean Dujardin, Ryan Gosling ('Drive'), Woody Harrelson ('Rampart') and Demián Bichir ('A Better Life.') Sadly, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was overlooked for his great work in '50/50,' although the film is up for Best Feature and a First Screenplay award. Anjelica Huston, who played the overly emotional mother in the cancer drama, is nominated for Best Supporting Female. Among the other nominees, Michelle Williams, Jessica Chastain, Albert Brooks, and Christopher Plummer and ... 'Cedar Rapids?' Get the whole list of nominees ahead.
