Back in October, director James Cameron joked that the re-release of 'Titanic' in 3D scheduled for next April was all about the bottom-line: "We didn't make enough money the first time around," he said during an early media showcase of nine scenes from the 'Titanic' conversion. Try as he might, however, Cameron can't hide his genuine love for the film and for the audiences who have embraced 'Titanic' since 1997. "'Titanic' is my baby," the director, who won an Oscar for 'Titanic,' says in an exclusive new featurette about the film that you can watch above. "[It] always has something for you, no matter what your age."

For more on why Cameron felt this was the perfect time to re-release 'Titanic,' and why this new version is about so much more than just 3D, watch the extended clip above.

'Titanic 3D' is scheduled to hit theaters on April 6, 2012.
