Last week, 'J. Edgar,' the Clint Eastwood-directed biopic about the life of former FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, was released nationwide. In order to play Hoover in his 70s, star Leonardo DiCaprio had to don face makeup galore. (As 'J. Edgar' co-star Armie Hammer told Moviefone, "It's not a little makeup, I'll tell you that.) Of course, DiCaprio isn't the first actor to jump a few decades in age through movie magic. In honor of 'J.Edgar,' Moviefone presents 10 Celebrities Who Donned Old-Age Makeup.

'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'
Makeup artist Greg Connom won an Oscar for his work on Brad Pitt's character, the titular Benjamin Button, a man who ages backward.
-
'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II'
Perhaps the most anticipated "old-age" scene in movie history, the epilogue at the end of 'Deathly Hallows, Part II' featured Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Bonnie Wright, 19 years in the future. Dan was able to pull off middle-aged Harry Potter well; the other three, not so much. You can judge for yourself in the clip below the gallery.

'Back to the Future Part II'
When Marty and Doc traveled to the future in 'Back to the Future Part II,' audiences ended up getting a glimpse of the older, angrier and grayer Marty McFly. Hey, at least he held on to his guitar!
-
'Click'
Adam Sandler traveled to the future in this 2006 film. Unfortunately, Sandler's character, Michael, ends up seeing some things he shouldn't have, such as his future self having a heart attack. (Spoiler alert?)

'Romy and Michele's High School Reunion'
Remember 'Romy and Michele'? This 1997 cult comedy starring Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow features a dream sequence set 70 years in the future, where both characters try to make amends for their decades-long feud. As you can see, Sorvino makes a semi-convincing 98-year-old woman.

'Romy and Michele's High School Reunion'
On the other hand, Lisa Kudrow's older self isn't quite as good. Fortunately, this was a lighthearted comedy -- it's not like the filmmakers were going for Oscar glory. BONUS OLD ACTOR: The man sitting next to Kudrow is none other than Alan Cumming. By the way, you can check out this full scene in the clip below (it starts at the four-minute-mark).
-
'A Beautiful Mind'
Russell Crowe earned an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of schizophrenic mathematician John Nash. Toward the end of the film, the story jumps several decades as we see Crowe playing Nash in his 60s.
-
'Citizen Kane'
In 1941, 25-year-old Orson Welles wrote, directed and starred in 'Citizen Kane.' It's hard to believe the above photo features a mid-twenties Welles playing a middle-aged Charles Foster Kane.
-
'J. Edgar'
The aforementioned 'J. Edgar' stars Leonardo DiCaprio as the late FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. As you can see from this picture, director Clint Eastwood wasn't shy about caking on the age makeup.
-
Katy Perry
No, it's not a movie, but we felt like Katy Perry's new music video needed to be mentioned on this list (you try not getting this song stuck in your head). In 'The One That Got Away,' she plays an elderly woman looking back on a past love affair with movie star Diego Luna.
