Who is Jake Abel? You might know him from 'Percy Jackson,' 'I Am Number Four' and that episode of 'Grey's Anatomy' that he guested on, but if Deadline is correct, you'll soon know him as the next RPattz or Tay-tay Lauts. (New Taylor Lautner nickname: COINED!) Abel is apparently the frontrunner to co-star as Ian in 'The Host,' 'Twilight' author Stephenie Meyer's follow-up to the mega YA series. Andrew Niccol ('In Time') will write and direct the feature film version, which follows a young woman (Saoirse Ronan) who gets inhabited by an alien (also Ronan) and must choose between her boyfriend Jared (a role that Liam Hemsworth, among others, was reading for) and the duplicitous Ian (the role Abel would play). Deadline says negotiations with Abel could start shortly, FWIW. [Deadline]
Awesomely bad title alert: MGM has purchased the rights to 'Killer Pizza,' a novel about a 14-year-old boy who goes to work at a pizza shop that's actually a front for monster hunters. Of course. Greg Taylor wrote the book, which sounds like 'Monster Squad' plus 'Loverboy,' which just about makes it the best movie ever. [Deadline]
'Brothers and Sisters' star Luke Grimes has been added to the cast of 'Taken 2' as the boyfriend of Maggie Grace's character. In a twist, the new film will find original star Liam Neeson being taken hostage, with his daughter and her boyfriend forced to attempt rescue. Here's guessing Neeson still kills everyone. [Variety]
Jerry Ferrara (Turtle from 'Entourage'!) has joined the cast of '7500,' a cheapie airplane thriller with a mostly B-and-C-list cast. [Deadline]
How does Jean-Claude Van Damme feel about his time on the set of 'The Expendables 2'? It's unclear, but there is this photo... [Movieline]
Dwight Arrington Myers, who you know better as Heavy D, died on Tuesday at the age of 44. Myers had a small cameo appearance in the recently released 'Tower Heist' as a courthouse guard. He also appeared in the films 'Step Up,' 'Life' and 'The Cider House Rules.' [TMZ]

Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen)
The big future news from Team Ashley happened last week when it was revealed that she'll lead an updated version of the Charles Dickens classic 'Oliver Twist,' which -- for Hollywood purposes -- is rechristened 'Olivia Twisted.' That is true. She also co-stars in the Weinstein Company release 'Butter' (out this year) in 'LOL' with Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore.Photo: Rabbani and Solimene Photography/Getty Images -
Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen)
Call Kellan Lutz the guy you call when Channing Tatum is busy. The beefcake-y 'Twilight' star appears sans shirt in the upcoming sword-and-sandals epic 'Immortals' as Poseidon.Photo: Wendell Teodoro/WireImage -
Dakota Fanning (Jane)
Fanning isn't only known for her work in the 'Twilight Saga,' but it has helped the star of blockbusters like 'War of the Worlds' and 'The Cat in the Hat' reach an even larger audience. Fanning's next steps include some more adult work: she'll play an 1850s teenage bride trapped in a sexless marriage in the Emma Thompson-directed 'Effie,' and team with 2011 It-Girl Elizabeth Olsen for 'Very Good Girls,' about two girls looking to lose their virginity. Scandalous!Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty for Marc Jacobs -
Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale)
The awesomely-named Rathbone is set to lead an updated version of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's 'The Idiot.' Hey, why not? He's also part of the band 100 Monkeys.Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images -
Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale)
The 'Thirteen' star appears in 'Downers Grove,' a thriller about a high school curse with Lucy Hale and Hayden Panettiere. In addition to that, Reed is engaged to 'American Idol' cast-off Paul McDonald.Photo: Jason Merritt/Getty Images -
Peter Facinelli (Dr. Carlisle Cullen)
Papa Cullen wrote the drama 'Loosies,' which follows a young pickpocket on the streets of Manhattan. The indie flick should hit theaters later this year.Photo: Valerie Macon/AFP/Getty Images -
Elizabeth Reaser (Esme Cullen)
Meanwhile, Mama Cullen is in a pair of highly anticipated indies herself: the Diablo Cody-written, Jason Reitman-directed 'Young Adult' (out this year) and 'Liberal Arts,' Josh Radnor's follow-up to 'happythankyoumoreplease.'Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/WireImage -
Anna Kendrick (Jessica Stanley)
The ever-busy Kendrick returns to theaters next week as Joseph Gordon-Levitt's onscreen therapist in the extremely charming '50/50.' (Check back to Moviefone next week for more about '50/50.') She's also set to co-star in the romcom omnibus 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' and recently attached herself to the a capella comedy 'Pitch Perfect.'Photo: Aaron Vincent Elkaim/AP -
Robert Pattinson (Edward)
With his matinee idol good looks and feverish female fanbase, you might think Pattinson would hitch his career on more romantic weepies like 'Remember Me.' It's to his credit that he hasn't. RPattz will next appear in the period film 'Bel Ami' as a young man who uses his sexual wiles to manipulate Parisan women. He's also starring in the David Cronenberg-directed adaptation of Don DeLillo's 'Cosmopolis.' Wonder what the cross-section of DeLillo and Stephenie Meyer fans looks like.Photo: Joe Scarnici/FilmMagic -
Kristen Stewart (Bella)
The belle-a of the ball (ding!) has used her 'Twilight' fame to take on a varied amount of indies like 'Adventureland' and 'The Runaways.' She'll be seen next year in the long, long, long gestating adaptation of Jack Kerouac's 'On the Road' with Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley, as well as 'Snow White and the Huntsman' with Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron.Photo: Peter Kramer/AP -
Taylor Lautner (Jacob)
Right now, Lautner is fully onboard with 'Abduction' and little else. "I'm just trying to take it one movie at a time and focus on 'Abduction,'" he told Moviefone, "and make that the best movie possible."Photo: Gustavo Caballero/Getty Images -
