What's the only thing harder than shooting a sex scene? Shooting a very graphic sex scene for a movie that will (eventually) be rated NC-17. Just ask actor Michael Fassbender, who stars in the upcoming movie 'Shame.' In it, he plays Brandon, a sex addict living in New York City. So, how did he prepare to shoot one of his sex scenes with actress Amy Hargreaves? According to the L.A. Times, by smoking cigarettes "and downing a shot of tequila."

Despite the graphic nature of the movie, Hargreaves said that she's "so proud of what we did in the film." Though she's quick to add, "I'm glad it's getting an NC-17 -- my parents will never see it."

The L.A. Times also discusses the difficulty of casting the women that Fassbender's character has sex with in 'Shame,' especially because most of them did not have any dialogue in the film. "I had so many passes I couldn't even tell you," admitted casting director Avy Kaufman.
