This is all very hush-hush -- 'The Dark Knight Rises' is coming to New York under the fake production name 'Magnus Rex' -- but the Times reports that the Occupy Wall Street protests won't be written into the film; instead, it's likely there is an existing scene of civil unrest in the script, and Nolan will use the throng of protestors to his advantage. If he even films there at all.
Following jaunts in Pittsburgh, Los Angeles and India, the future blockbuster comes to New York for two weeks starting on Oct. 29. A recent casting notice for the film states that Nolan is looking for actors with "military and/or law enforcement training/experience, weapons training, and/or martial arts training."
Warner Bros. confirmed to the Times that production was headed to New York, but wouldn't comment on the Occupy Wall Street leg of the trip. Why so serious, WB?
