The late, great Roald Dahl is no stranger to having his films adapted to the big screen -- most recently two years ago, with Wes Anderson's 'Fantastic Mr. Fox.' Now, another one of his classics may be coming to life.

According to TheWrap, DreamWorks has acquired the rights to Dahl's 1982 book, 'The BFG,' (aka the Big Friendly Giant). 'E.T.' writer Melissa Mathison will adapt the script (an animated TV film based on the book came out in 1989). No word on when the movie would be released.

'The BFG' would join such Dahl works as 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,' Matilda' and 'The Witches,' that have been made into movies.
