CATEGORIES Movie NewsConsidering all the drama that happens in 'Breaking Dawn,' the final installment of Stephenie Meyer's 'Twilight Saga,' it makes sense that the film versions of the YA sensation -- part one, obvs, hits theaters on Nov. 18 -- would be a little more adult than their predecessors. After all, there's a wedding! Bed-breaking sex! A womb-tearing vampire baby! And a birth scene that may involve Edward Cullen using his pointy chompers to perform the vampire version of a cesarean section on blushing bride Bella Swan. With shenanigans like that, did 'Breaking Dawn' get a dreaded R-rating from the MPAA?
Nope! Per Summit Entertainment, 'Breaking Dawn' has been rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America, "due to disturbing images, violence, sexuality/partial nudity and some thematic elements." Start daydreaming about which star gets to partake in the partial nudity right... now.
