Bieber, watch your back: 'Twilight' hunk Robert Pattinson reportedly wants to bring his brooding intensity to the music studio because "music is his first love." (Sorry, Kristen Stewart.) According to Us Weekly, he's planning to record an album, one that would allegedly sound like "Ray LaMontagne meets Van Morrison." The fact that Pattinson has musical tendencies isn't news to Twi-hards, since he wrote two songs for the first 'Twilight.'
"Rob has been kicking a few original songs around for a long time, but his schedule didn't allow it," an insider reports to Us. "Now he's got some weeks to get everything in line before going back to promoting 'Breaking Dawn.'"
"Music is his first love," another source said. "He's tortured because he avoids it. When he's sitting around jamming in the studio, it's his favorite moment of life." Wow, RPattz tortured? Say it ain't so.
Pattinson co-wrote the songs 'Never Think' and 'Let Me Sign' for the first 'Twilight' (only the first one is on the official soundtrack). According to IMDb, he's "an excellent musician and plays both the guitar and piano ... and began taking piano lessons at age three and classical guitar at five."
The actor will reportedly aim for a "guitar-based and drums, very organic-sounding" approach and is said to be "studying on on other instruments -- like piano and horns... It's an obsession for him."
The magazine quotes co-star Jackson Rathbone on his fellow vamp, "[he] loves to play the blues. He can hold his own on a guitar. We enjoyed jamming together when we had the time."
The screaming when Pattinson hits a red carpet is already deafening: Just imagine how crazy the fans would get if the hunky heartthrob were to become a rock star.
