What if you had written some of the most brilliant works in human history, only for someone else to take all the credit? That's the dilemma director Roland Emmerich explores in 'Anonymous,' a film about a man who wrote plays that were eventually credited to William Shakespeare. (In fact, the movie poster for the film asks the conspiracy theorist question, "Was Shakespeare a Fraud?"). In this new clip from the film, Princess Elizabeth (Joely Richardson) meets a young Edward de Vere, the supposed "anonymous" writer the movie is named after -- and takes quite a liking to him.
'Anonymous' -- which premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival -- hits theaters on Oct. 28.
