Pedro Almodovar has made some pretty phenomenal, female-driven dramas over the course of some 20-odd years as a writer/director. With the upcoming release of his next effort, 'The Skin I Live In,' we're still scratching our heads as to what sparked his interest in the world of horror/thrillers. But now that we finally have a trailer that's been translated into English thanks to Yahoo! Movies, we're that much more intrigued by what he's bringing to the table.
Starring Antonio Banderas and Elena Anaya, 'The Skin I Live In' revolves around an esteemed plastic surgeon who begins developing a fireproof synthetic skin after his wife dies in a car crash. When he finds a woman passed out at a party, he decides to kidnap her and use her as his guinea pig, but his plans go awry when she decides to fight back.

There are a lot of good reasons not to pass out at a party, but it looks like Almodovar just gave us the cream of the crop.
