What do Elizabeth Banks, Kirsten Dunst, Blake Lively, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams, Andrea Riseborough and Olivia Wilde have in common? They're all screen-testing for the coveted role of the female lead in 'The Silver Linings Playbook,' director David O Russell's follow-up to his Oscar-winning 'The Fighter.'

The film, which re-teams Russell with Mark Wahlberg, centers on a man who suffers from a mental collapse and is released from a health facility determined to find the silver linings in his life, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The female role is that of a depressed woman who, when her husband dies, goes on a sexual spree, eventually befriending the man and becoming his lover.

The Reporter cites sources who also say Jennifer Lawrence may be in the running.

Russell is eyeing an August production start for The Weinstein Company.
