In an unusual move, Tarsem Singh's 'Untitled Snow White Project' has a poster before it has a definitive title.

To celebrate the beginning of production on the film -- which stars Julia Roberts as the evil queen and Lily Collins as Snow White -- Relativity Media bought a two-page ad in The Hollywood Reporter that showcases the film's visual style.

There's a Russian-inspired castle and lots of snow, which makes it look more like an update of 'Anastasia' (or perhaps 'The Snow Queen') than the traditional Snow White, whose tale has usually been told in a snow-free setting.

Snow White also seems to be wearing a very short dress; no Disney-style gown for this modern heroine, apparently.

The tag line is "A comedic adventure awaits," which seems at odds with the 'Doctor Zhivago'-esque feel of the images.

This is one of two rival films based on the fairy tale princess, with a release date of March 16, 2012. The other film (due in June) stars Kristen Stewart as the princess, Chris Hemsworth as a huntsman who protects her and Charlize Theron as the evil stepmother who orders Snow White's death.
