With 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' less than three weeks away and fans getting ready to pre-order those tickets regardless of the critical fiasco that was 'Revenge of the Fallen,' one would think that director Michael Bay and star Shia LaBeouf would be milking this series longer than 'Indiana Jones.' But despite the epic amount of dough they must be pulling in, LaBeouf recently stated at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards that while 'Dark of the Moon' is "the best movie we've made," it's also the last.
Hit the jump to see what Shia had to say about parting ways with his Autobot buddies and the future of the franchise that made him a household name.
I'm not coming back to do another one. I don't think [Michael Bay] will either. It still is a hot property, I think, especially coming out of the third one. So I imagine they'll reboot it at some point with someone elseWith or without Bay and LaBeouf, something tells us that the 'Transformers' franchise isn't ending anytime soon. Hard to say who we'd like to see in their place, but they better be cool with explosions and green screens.
What do you think: Crushed to see them go, couldn't care less, or as long as there's robots and as long as they're fighting, everything's A-OK?
