Like it or not, it looks like George Lucas and Steven Spielberg are prepping to nuke the fridge once again.
When asked about the possibility of another 'Indiana Jones' movie while backstage at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards last Sunday, Shia LaBeouf (who starred as Indy's son in 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull') sounded optimistic about a fifth entry in the near future. Not much to be said in the way of details, but considering how insanely lucrative this series has been over the years, it's hard to feel surprised by the news ... even if Harrison Ford is pushing 70.
Hit the jump to see what LaBeouf had to say.
"I talked to [Harrison Ford]," says LaBeouf. "He said he's staying in the gym, he said he's heard no word, but he does know that [George Lucas] is out there looking for a MacGuffin. He said he's staying in the gym, so it means [the movie is] not so far off."
Well, as much as we love Indy, we're not really sure how to feel about this update after struggling through 'Crystal Skull' three years ago. Doesn't seem like there's a whole lot we can do about it, though, and besides, it really can't get any worse than the last one.
What do you think: They should have stopped after 'The Last Crusade,' or there's nothing wrong with more Indy?
