Talk about a trifecta: British actor Jamie Campbell Bower has already had small roles in the 'Harry Potter' and 'Twilight,' series: Now the 22-year-old is set to star in another fantasy franchise, 'The Mortal Instruments.'

Bower is in final negotiations to play Jace, a "shadow hunter" in the series based on the novels by Cassandra Clare. He beat out Alex Pettyfer ('I Am Number Four'), Alex Ed Speleers ('Eragon') and newcomer Leebo Freeman for the role.

Lily Collins (who has the lead role in Relativity Media's upcoming 'Snow White') has already signed on. She'll play Clary Fray, who finds out disturbing truths about her family's bloodline when her mother is attacked by a mysterious creature in New York.

If you're trying to place Bower, he had a pivotal role as the singing suitor of Johnny Depp's daughter in 'Sweeney Todd,' Caius in 'New Moon' and the young Gellert Grindelwald in 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.'

Still can't place him? He's also the lead singer of the band The Darling Buds and is engaged to his 'Potter' co-star Bonnie Wright (Ginnie Weasley).

Scott Charles Stewart ('Legion' and 'Priest') is directing, which leads us to believe the star of those films, Paul Bettany, might be tapped for a role at some point.

'TMI' fans, do you approve of this casting?
