Actors campaigning for movie roles is nothing new. Last year, Donald Glover from 'Community' lobbied for the role of Peter Parker in the 'Spider-Man' reboot by photoshopping himself onto Spidey's head. (The part eventually went to Andrew Garfield.) A few months later, actor Amiri Starr launched his own campaign in the hopes of being cast as Tupac Shakur in Antoine Fuqua's upcoming biopic on the infamous hip-hop star. However, this latest effort may be a first in movie campaigning history.
Isaiah Mustafa, better known as 'The Old Spice Guy,' has created a full-fledged trailer featuring himself as superhero Luke Cage. And he certainly did not skimp on the budget. It begins with Mustafa in an orange prison jumpsuit being led down a dark hallway and into a room with a doctor and two creepy figures dressed in white hazmat suits. Mustafa eventually ends up in an experiment that leaves him with superhuman strength, and he then proceeds to kick the crap out of everyone around him.

Mustafa had previously expressed his desire to play the iconic Marvel superhero, a role that has also drawn interest from actors like Jamie Foxx and Idris Elba. In a 2010 interview with G4, Mustafa said, "I want to be Luke Cage! You have no idea ... I made a dream board of it and put my face on the comic."
Do you think the Old Spice Guy would make a good Luke Cage? If not him, who should be cast in the role?
