From PopEater: From her videos and concerts to walking though an airport in 12-inch heel-less boots, everything with Lady Gaga is a performance. So it's really no surprise that 'Inglourious Basterds' director Quentin Tarantino has so much faith in the 'Born This Way' singer's acting abilities that he wants her for a part in an upcoming film.

Tarantino and Gaga are both in Cannes, France, for its famed film festival, where Lady G performed last night for a star-heavy crowd that included Tarantino, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, Uma Thurman and Kanye West.

"It's no secret Quentin's been eyeing up Gaga for a role in one of his up-and-coming films," a source close to Tarantino tells the Daily Mail. "And now they're both in Cannes, he's keen to show off his movie star credentials."

Whether he's eyeing Gaga for a part in his next feature, the recently announced 'Django Unchained,' starring Will Smith, or another of the many projects he has in the works is unknown.

Gaga and Tarantino are said to be old friends. The director got to know the pop star when he lent her the "P*ssy Wagon" truck used in his 'Kill Bill' films for her 'Telephone' video last year.
