Sources told TMZ the actress's lawyer Shawn Holley is expected to go to Judge Stephanie Sautner as early as this week to present the plea. Lohan's trial date is currently set for early June.
The actress has been sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours community service stemming from a probation violation connected to her jewelry theft case. The actress and her lawyer are banking on the judge not throwing additional jail time on top of the plea.
According to TMZ, L.A. County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore said he believes Lohan would likely serve three weeks of her four-month sentence due to overcrowding.
Lohan's actions mirror her attitude on 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,' where she admitted she wants to perform her community service and put this chapter of her life behind her.
She probably wants to take care of business so she can get back to work. The actress is attached to star in the upcoming 'Gotti: Three Generations,' with John Travolta.
