TMZ obtained a copy of Smith's contract for the films, which was signed in June 2009 when the young actor was just 10 years old. The contract reveals he was paid in two installments, $900,000 and $100,000, respectively, for the film.
While those payments alone seem like a lot of money for a pre-teen, they're just the beginning. Thanks to the film's lucrative take at the box office -- over $150 million domestically -- Smith received a $2 million bonus.
In addition to other contractual perks and royalties, it looks like Smith will be making bank from his 'Karate Kid' days for many years to come.
