Kate Hudson, who scored an Oscar nomination for 'Almost Famous' and proved herself a box office draw in hits like 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' and 'Bride Wars,' tells Britain's Hello! magazine (via WENN) that she intends to take a break from acting after her baby with new fiance Matt Bellamy arrives later this summer.

"I'll have the baby to look after, and Ryder [her son with Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson] is at an age where it's so fun with his baseball and karate. If I work, I'll have to go away from that and I don't want to miss another second of it," the actress told the mag. "I'll carry on working but only if the film's really special. Maybe this is the time in my career where I shift focus and spend more time at home. It'll be interesting."

Hudson announced her engagement to Muse frontman Bellamy earlier this week during a sit-down with Matt Lauer on 'Today.' The actress is currently out promoting her latest rom-com, 'Something Borrowed,' co-starring John Krasinski, Ginnifer Goodwin and Colin Egglesfield. The film hits theaters May 6.

Hudson announced her pregnancy in January. During her interview with Lauer on April 27, the newsman pointed out the large rock on her ring finger. The actress laughed, admitting, "It just happened a week ago, I'm so glad you noticed. I haven't really announced it and I felt like the announcing thing feels so silly, and I was just waiting for someone to notice."
