Deadline reports that hot young actor Logan Lerman ('Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief') has been tapped to take the lead in the very offbeat coming-of-age tale 'The Only Living Boy in New York.' The indie film, scripted by Allen Loeb and directed by Seth Gordon, tells the story of a young man (Lerman) who discovers that his father is having an affair with another woman and tracks her down, only to end up sleeping with her himself. Add in a quirky neighbor who gives the young man advice about love and you have 'The Graduate' for the 21st century.
Lerman is in demand right now. He next stars in two Summit Entertainment films -- as D'Artagnan in 'The Three Musketeers' and the lead role in 'Perks of Being a Wallflower.'
Production on 'The Only Living Boy' is scheduled for the fall.
