Over at DeviantArt, artist Claire Hummel decided to try her hand at redoing some of the outfits worn by heroines in recent and classic Disney animated films to make them historically accurate. That meant tons of research but also some fun. Hummel redid Belle's (from 'Beauty and the Beast') gold dress to match 1770s French court fashion, put 'The Little Mermaid''s Ariel in an 1890s evening gown, and freshened up Snow White and Jasmine (from 'Aladdin'). Check it out at Hummel's Historical Disney page.
