Although it hasn't been made official, Gotti -- daughter of mobster John Gotti -- has given Lohan her approval to portray her in an upcoming movie about the crime family. The two blondes even posed together at a press event Tuesday in New York and they looked strikingly similar, considering that Lohan is 24 (and nearly a head taller) and Gotti is 48.
"I think she's incredible," Gotti said. "I think she's a great actress. She can do ... any role, really. I said that to her mom when we met many years ago. Just watching her in 'The Parent Trap,' I thought she was adorable and she's a good kid."
John Travolta, who's already signed to play John Gotti, also approves of Lindsay. "I've always thought she was gorgeous and talented and filled with a lot of depth. So, I think that whatever she would like to do would be great with me."
"Lindsay is a terrific actress," said Marc Fiore, who's producing 'Gotti: Three Generations.' "Nothing has been finalized, but we are definitely in talks."
'Goodfellas' star Joe Pesci will co-star as Angelo Ruggiero, John Gotti's second-in-command, and Nick Cassavetes will direct.
Gotti acknowledged Lohan's troubles but added, "She had a little bit of a bumpy road recently. I think she's doing great. I think she's going to continue to do great, and she's got a lot of people rooting for her."
