This week on Best Movie Art Ever (This Week) we're celebrating the work of prolific print illustrator Tyler Stout!

Tyler Stout is a Washington-based artist whose work you've probably seen if you've spent any time in Austin. The famously film-loving Texas city is a big fan of Stout's lavishly illustrated posters, most of which are commissioned by Mondo for special engagements at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain. Stout's work is a clever blend of photo-realistic comic book-style illustration and dirty street art, an approach that casts some of our favorite film characters in a new light that's both aesthetically fascinating and just plain cool.
Unfortunately, nearly all of Stout's limited edition poster work is sold out or only available on the second-hand market. But the Internet is a wonderful place, and we've put together a gallery of all the Tyler Stout film posters we could find. For more of his work, be sure to visit the Stout's official website as well as Mondo for more unique movie art.
