We're big fans of Titan Books around these parts. In recent years they've put out some of our favorite film-related books including, but hardly limited to, 'The Art of Hammer,' 'The Art of Drew Struzan,' 'Kick-Ass: Creating the Comic, Making the Movie,' 'Star Trek: The Art of the Film' and 'The Greatest Sci-fi Movies Never Made.' Soon (February 22nd, to be precise) they'll be dominating our coffee tables once again with 'Sucker Punch: The Art of the Film' and to celebrate we'd like to give everyone a sneak peek of a few pages.

Written by Zack Snyder himself, 'Sucker Punch: The Art of the Film' is exactly what it sounds like; a behind-the-scenes look at the production design behind his upcoming girls-in-a-mental-hospital-versus-a-fantasy-world opus. Or, in the director's own words:

I saw the book as a visually interesting way to deconstruct the process of designing and prepping a film- peeling it apart layer by layer. So much amazing artwork is generated throughout the development process of a film, especially one that occupies so many different worlds and environments. I wanted to be able to share that in a meaningful way, beyond what's captured on screen.

So check out our five sneak peek images, several of which are appearing for the first time anywhere, below. If they pique your interest, remember to mark your calendars for February 22nd. And if they really pique your interest, there's even a limited edition version of the book you can preorder, though you may want to do so quickly since only 750 copies of that version are being made.
