• 'Deadwood' creator David Milch is taking a crack at adapting duties on a big screen version of the popular PS3 game 'Heavy Rain,' which itself was culled together from a 2,000 page script.

  • DreamWorks Animation has begun assembling a great voice cast for 'Rise of the Guardians,' which is a CGI animated adaptation of the kids book 'The Guardians of Childhood' and not a sequel to Zack Snyder's 'Legend of the Guardians. Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher and Chris Pine will be leading the film, which was written by 'Rabbit Hole' screenwriter David Lindsay-Abaire.

  • Mark Heyman, one of the screenwriters of 'Black Swan,' will next pen 'Age of Rage,' a post-apocalyptic movie about a world in which the adults have died of titled. Marc Webb is set to direct.

  • Take this with a nice, big grain of salt, but according to a tipster over at UK's Sky, Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' will still directly involve the xenomorphs of the 'Alien' series and will see mankind trying to find their home world.
