Everything about 'Jurassic Park' is classic. The adventure, the thrills, the first sight of a gigantic brachiosaurus stepping across the camera. Every element put into making that movie stands up to the test of time -- especially John Williams' distinctive score.
And now the internet has gotten their hands on the theme to 'Jurassic Park' and remixed in the simplest, best way: by slowing it down. Specifically slowing it down 1,000%, so that what was once a 3 minute theme to a summer blockbuster has now become an hour long meditative, sweeping grand orchestral piece.
Jurassic Park Theme (1000% Slower) by birdfeeder
The remixed theme was uploaded on the online audio program, Soundcloud.com, by the user birdfeeder. The "slow remix" idea got famous this summer thanks to the "Justin Bieber slowed 800 times" musical experiement.
There's been a lot of attempts since then to find the next perfect song to enhance by slowing it down. Most of the time though, the end result is just... well, slow sounding. But once in a blue moon, someone can find the right piece of music and embellish the original piece into something new and unique.
Like we said, John Williams' original composition is still classic, but we like this because it makes the 'Jurassic Park' theme even more epic. We were the exact right age when that movie came out, sitting in a darkened theater, in awe of everything that was happening on the big screen; when it was over, we couldn't even blink for six weeks. Somehow this new version of the theme sounds like our memory of that experience.
