When the 2011 Sundance Film Festival gets underway this Thursday night in Park City, Utah, a group of folks will pack into the intimate Library theater for the opening night shorts program -- one of many opening night screenings being held throughout Park City. Adam Yauch's 'Fight for your Right Revisited' will be one of those short films screening on opening night, and while we told you about it before and shared with you the initial cast (Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood and Danny McBride), we had absolutely no idea how many incredible additions there were.
Not only will all three Beastie Boys (Mike D., Adam Yauch and Adam Horovitz) be appearing as cops, but some other names on the cast list include Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Rainn Wilson, Rashida Jones, Will Arnett, Ted Danson, Roman Coppola, Amy Poehler, Alicia Silverstone, Steve Buscemi, Jody Hill, Jason Schwartzman, Kirsten Dunst, Maya Rudolph, Orlando Bloom, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Jack Black, Martin Starr, David Cross, Chloe Sevigny, Laura Dern .... deep breath ... Milo Ventimiglia, Adam Scott, Mike Mills, Shannyn Sossamon, and Mary Steenburgen. Phew.
Most of these folks will be playing Cafe Patrons, while Rogen, Wood and McBride are playing one version of the Beastie Boys as Will Ferrell, Jack Black and John C. Reilly are apparently playing another version of the boys. Meanwhile, our favorite credit goes to Clint Caluory, who's playing "Clint as Zach Galifianakis as George Drakoulias."
With this cast we have absolutely no idea what sort of mayhem to expect, but, regardless, how can this not be one of our most anticipated Sundance movies? We'll see it Thursday and let you know. Full cast posted after the jump (via IMDB and The Playlist).
