As you anxiously await the results of the People's Choice Awards, let us divert your attention briefly to the seven films chosen by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Visual Effects branch for its annual "Bake-Off" later this month (the field was winnowed down from 15 films announced in December).
The Bake-Off includes a 15-minute screening of each film, followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. The members of the branch then picks five films as nominees for the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.
The list of seven:
"Alice in Wonderland"
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I"
"Iron Man 2"
"Scott Pilgrim vs. the World"
Which two do you think will get knocked out?
