- Marvel have released the first official poster for 'Thor,' which hits theaters May 2011. You can check out the poster in full at the bottom of this post, but also check back at Cinematical this evening when the first 'Thor' trailer is expected to hit.

- DreamWorks Animation have carved out a March 2013 spot for the very intriguing project 'Me and My Shadow,' a film about the rogue shadow of "the world's most boring human" that will blend CGI and hand-drawn animation much in the same way 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' blended live-action with hand-drawn animation.

- "Inspired" (if you can call it that) by the E-Trade commercials featuring a talking baby, Fox is currently shaping together an untitled comedy about babies that escape daycare and presumably get up to all kinds of 'Baby's Day Out' hilarity.

- Jesse Eisenberg has joined Jason Ritter and Jess Weixler in the indie comedy 'Free Samples' for director Jay Gammill. He'll be playing the love interest of Weixler's character, a university drop-out who has taken up a gig giving out free samples of ice cream from a food truck.

- If you're not instantly sold on a movie titled 'Kill the Irishman,' perhaps the cast will help seal the deal: Ray Stevenson, Vincent D'Onofrio, Val Kilmer and Christopher Walken star in this true story about an 'unkillable' Irish gangster (Stevenson) who went head-to-head with an Italian mob in, of all places, Clevland. Check out the trailer:

- Christian Alvart ('Pandorum,' 'Case 39') is currently adapting two separate German novels for the big screen. The first is 'Ultra-Low' by Thor Kunkel, a novel about a group of radicals in 1979 Frankfurt, and 'The Widow Killer,' a WWII murder mystery by Pavel Kohout.

- Benecio del Toro, Gaspar Noe and five other filmmakers will each direct a portion of '7 Days in Havana,' an omnibus film centered around modern life in Cuba.

- Bloody-Disgusting have scored the plot synopsis and initial posters for '11-11-11,' a new thriller from Darren Lynn Bousman ('Saw 2-3,' 'Mother's Day') about a grieving American who becomes convinced that something horrible is going to happen on the eponymous date.

- Luc Besson ('The Fifth Element') is busy filming 'Into the Light,' a biopic about Aung San Suu Kyi, the political activist who, up until last month, had been under house arrest in Burma since 1990. Michelle Yeoh stars in the film, which recently wrapped part of its production in Thailand.

- Taking a note from 'Julia and Julia,' which was inspired by a woman who blogged about cooking a new Julia Child's recipe every day, a gent named Lawrence Dai has decided to start a blog where he chronicles the experience of watching 'Julia and Julia' every day for a year. Brilliant.
