Thanksgiving has passed and it's official -- the Christmas season has begun. If your list of favorite holiday movies includes films like 'Christmas Vacation' and 'A Christmas Story,' then the news that there may be a 'Bad Santa' sequel will fill you with red and green glee. Billy Bob Thornton -- who played the reckless and filthy mall Santa in the 2003 movie -- is teasing us with the promise of more Willie Stokes.

Thornton's been on a bit of a Hollywood hiatus, but is working on a "dandy" according to a recent interview with Collider -- conducted during a press junket for his new movie 'Faster.' "My old writing partner Tom Epperson and I just wrote another script, we haven't written together in years, 15 maybe. And we're hoping to get that made in the spring, that's what we're working on right now," the actor/director said. "No title. But it's a-actually it does have a title, I may as well tell you, maybe it'll intrigue people. It's called 'Jayne Mansfield's Car,' and it's a dandy if I do say so."

When asked about the Christmas movie favorite, 'Bad Santa,' Thorton had this to say: "'Bad Santa's' become like a classic Christmas movie. People watch 'It's a Wonderful Life' and 'Miracle on 34th St.' and 'Bad Santa' now is sort of the box set. And there's been talk of making a sequel to it, which I actually would like to do. I've never done a sequel to one of my movies, but that one makes sense to me to do it."

Thornton's past projects (and public outbursts and idiosyncratic behavior) make him a pretty unique guy in a sea of Hollywood clones, so it's always interesting to know what he's up to. Would you pay to see Thornton play the surly Santa with a heart of gold (at least for chubby, awkward kids ... ) again, or is this a part two caricature that you'd rather do without?
