- Columbia Pictures are reportedly eyeballing a May 2011 start date for 'Ghostbusters 3.' Lee Eisenberg, Gene Stupnitsky and Day Aykroyd all contributed to the script, which Ivan Reitman will be directing.

- Baz Luhrmann's 'The Great Gatsby' is looking to cast Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby and Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway, but when it comes to casting the female lead, Daisy Buchanan, the director is looking at a variety of actresses for the role. Rebecca Hall, most recently seen in 'The Town,' was at the DiCaprio/Gatsby table read, but Luhrmann is also considering Keira Knightly, Abbie Cornish, Michelle Williams, Scarlett Johansson, Blake Lively and Amanda Seyfried.

- Similarly, Cameron Crowe's casting pool for the female lead in 'We Bought A Zoo' is currently filled with Scarlett Johansson, Amy Adams, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Rachel McAdams.

- Robert Rodriguez is setting up a tertiary production company to Troublemaker Studios called Quick Draw Productions, the goal of which will be to make "action-oriented commercial films." While no films are currently announced for the new shingle, OddLot Entertainment and Bold Films will be its financial partners.
