- Dennis Iliadis is looking to follow his remake of Wes Craven's 'The Last House on the Left' with 'The Demonolgists.' Teddy Tenenbaum wrote the screenplay about a family of ghost hunters who square off against a demon infestation.

- Angela Lansbury will join Jim Carrey and Carla Gugino in the kids film 'Mr. Popper's Penguins.' Mark Waters ('Mean Girls') is directing a script from Nick Stoller ('Forgetting Sarah Marshall'), Sean Anders and John Morris ('Hot Tub Time Machine'). Carrey will star as a "high-powered businessman who inherits six penguins."

- 'Cell 211,' a Spanish thriller from director Daniel Monzon is in line for a US remake. Paul Haggis is currently in talks to write and direct the remake of the 2009 film that follows two men, a prisoner and his guard hostage, during a prison riot.

- Starz's animated series How It Should Have Ended have given us this wonderful little mash-up of 'The Terminator' with'Back to the Future':


- Lionsgate won out the bid for US distribution rights to 'LOL' starring Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore and Ashley Greene.
