When Todd Phillips' 'The Hangover' did stellar business at the box office (close to $300 million on a $35 mil. investment), a higher-stakes sequel was inevitable. The first followed the misadventures of three men at a bachelor party in Las Vegas, and gave some star power to a risky cast of relative unknowns -- Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms. (Not to mention supporting players like Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong.)

But sequelizing a successful film means upping the stakes and going a little extra crazy, so 'The Hangover 2' is taking the trio across the ocean for fun and mis-adventure in Bangkok, Thailand. And with production kicking off, we already have our first look at the action -- and by action, we mean walking through an airport.

PopSugar has nabbed the first glimpses of Cooper, Galifianakis, Helms and Bartha as they began shooting the sequel in Ontario, California. There's Cooper and Galifianakis having a chat and a stroll, a few of the trio walking intently through an airport (presumably heading to their plane to Thailand), Cooper and Galifianakis taking another stroll with Bartha this time and finally a close-up of Cooper.

As of right now, the big question is whether they'll be jumping over some sharks on their voyage across the Pacific Ocean. The particular plot of this sequel is being kept under wraps, though it is likely that we'll get the usual American hijinx overseas -- though hopefully not to the abysmal levels of 'Sex and the City 2.' Prepare yourselves for drug comedy and flying projectiles from ping pong shows. (Is there any way Phillips will avoid that particular Thai quirk ... or rather, kink? Doubtful.)

The film is scheduled to hit screens on May 26, 2011.
