If there are two things horror fans love, it's boobs and blood -- so it seems surprising that we're only just now getting a film festival devoted entirely to these two staples of genre cinema. If your idea of a good time is hanging out with Suicide Girls, Playboy Playmates and lesbian vampires, then look no further than The Boobs and Blood Film Festival. The festivities are taking place in L.A. at the New Beverly Cinema from Sept. 24 - 26. Parties, autograph ops and screenings abound.

Those lucky enough to attend will be treated to a veritable cornucopia of grindhouse exploitation, Japanese cult cinema, and titles that would be right at home between the covers of Michael Weldon's 'Psychotronic Video Guide.' While grindhouse is a term that's being thrown around a lot lately, not everyone is familiar with Japanese pink films -- a softcore genre essentially invented by small film studios to stay afloat in the early '70s once TV and American imports became more popular. The films combine all the favorite food groups: sex, violence, comedy, revenge, pure torture and nudity. Lots of nudity.

Pink enthusiasts will have the rare opportunity to screen the award-winning vamp flick 'Twilight Dinner' aka 'Moon Light Dinner' and meet the film's director, Mr. Pink himself, Yutaka Ikejima. This will mark the first screening of the film outside of Japan. Curvy bombshell Reiko Yamaguchi will also be making an appearance.

Warning: Trailer is NSFW

If you love Linnea Quigley (and what horror fan doesn't?) then you'll also have the chance to screen the only remaining print of Fred Olen Ray's classic flick, 'Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers' about a runaway and a cult of bizarre, chainsaw-happy hookers. Gunnar "Leatherface" Hansen tops the cast. Ray and Penthouse Pet Michelle Bauer, who also stars in the film, will be there to meet fans.

Fans of the 1975 lesbian vampire movie, 'Vampyres,' are treated to yet another rare opportunity to hang out with Playboy Playmate Anulka Dziubinska, who starred in the atmospheric sleazefest. She'll be discussing the film and her life (which includes Zen Buddhism and a career as a floral designer, whoa, back to boobs ... ).

If retro skin isn't your thing, then the Suicide Girls will be on hand to share their unrated version of 'Suicide Girls Must Die.' You can check out my interview with the girls over here, and the trailer below.

If all this wasn't enough to entice you to dabble in a little celluloid debauchery, then feast your eyes on these theme screenings the fest has in store: Outlaw Women, Girlz Vs. Monsterz, Beyond the Valley of the Boobs, Total F#@!ng Japanese Insanity, Lesbian Vampires and 3-D Boobs!, Japanese S&M Lesbian Vampire Insanity and Chainsaws, Hookers and Nude Nuns.

So, bustle up your bosom to your chin and head over to New Beverly. Check out the event website (kinda sorta NSFW) for further details.
