What would a film festival be without the swag? While the Toronto Film Festival may be known as a "lesser" fest when compared to Cannes or Sundance, it's definitely on-par when it comes to celebrity goodies. It seems that the traditional gifting lounges have upped the ante this year, with NKPR's IT Lounge moving downtown to home-office digs (don't let that fool you -- it's super-nice), and the JSquared PR Bask-It-Style room residing in the Prime Minister suite at the Royal York Hotel.

So what sorts of things are the celebs getting this year? Well, both the Bask-It-Style room and the IT Lounge were gracious enough to give Moviefone a little tour of their facilities, and we were able to sample everything the stars would be offered. Here are a few things we stumbled upon:

So what sorts of things are the celebs getting this year? Well, both the Bask-It-Style room and the IT Lounge were gracious enough to give Moviefone a little tour of their facilities, and we were able to sample everything the stars would be offered. Here are a few things we stumbled upon:

A Bag of Chips, Anyone?
Old Dutch Foods started as a small potato chip company in Winnipeg in 1954 and has grown astronomically since its inception. They acquired Humpty Dumpty chips in 2006 and the rest is history. Celebs are being treated to some free chips at the Bask-It-Style room -- not a bad deal.

Read on the Go
Akin to the US Kindle, the Canadian Kobo eReader is being offered to every celeb who makes it to the IT Lounge. As a bonus, the Kobo comes pre-loaded with 100 free all-time classics. We can see how this thing would come in very handy on vacation.

Meet and Learn the Ways of the 'Ball Man'
OK, we just made that nickname up, but former Reebok Master Trainer Farhan Dhalla laughed when we called him that (thanks for the sense of humor, Farhan!). Dhalla is promoting his workout DVD Mind, Ball & Soul. He has had many celebrity clients and hopes to increase the number of people he can whip into shape.

For the Sensitive Type
A first-timer at the IT Lounge, Diane Lai has developed a skin moisturizer/conditioner that contains 98 percent natural ingredients. For anyone who's ever had an allergic reaction to the environment, this product is for you. It's also perfect for the child or toddler in your life.

That's Sharp
One of our personal favorites is the Sharpie pen -- which is making a repeat appearance at the IT Lounge. This year they've introduced the no-bleed pen, the stainless steel marker, and brought back the Twin Tip markers by popular demand. The Lounge also had a caricature artist on-hand to draw portraits of all visitors. No comment on that one.

It's Not All Flash
But It's not only about celebrities and flashiness this year, either. Both gifting suites are devoting a lot of resources, money and energy to charities. "We've got 15 brands this year, and it's our fifth year," says NKPR president and IT Lounge founder Natasha Koifman. "Our cause is Artists for Peace and Justice. We've got some cool initiatives going on -- a social media/Twitter campaign in particular. If you follow me on Twitter at natashankpr, I will donate $1 for every new follower to APJ. Goody will donate $25 for every celebrity visit to the Lounge, Sharpie has created an APJ pen... It's cool to see all the brands come together and do some really good things."

Bask-It-Style's charity partner is UNICEF, the world's leading child-focused humanitarian and development agency. UNICEF is entirely supported by voluntary donations and helps all children, regardless of race, religion or politics.

While celebrities are being pampered at this year's fest, at least the lounges are giving back. It's the Canadian way, wouldn't you say?
