Moviefone Minute: Is Angelina Jolie the Only Bankable Female Star? Plus: Diablo Cody's Zombies

angie has done well in most of her movies, but alot bomb also.mightheart bombed,changeling sort of bombed. she does great in action films.if you check her movie history, she has alot of bad films to her credit. and her fake accents are really bad. its just she use to drip sex,now she tries to hard to do it. getting older i guess.to many kids at the hip.other stars can carry a movie,portman,very good in all ive seen.lane,streep,close,bullock,and there all getting older. most are 40 and above.there are no movies for 23 to 30 actresses.hiegl,man can she get it right.how many movies can her an aniston do in a year?and they are up there to.scarjo,bad attitude.if only megan fox could act better, thenyou would have your double threat again.shes a few years away,but she sure looks good on screen.

well i dont watch any movie with jolie or cruise and very few with pitt or striesand but give me any other actress or actor and i will watch it so i dont agree jolie is the only watchable actress

I don't mean any thing bad: But to me Angelina Jolie has grown to be
such a wonderful woman and an even more talented actress, I'm certain
she yet has the ability to to be a top attraction in the movie
industry, and I'm certain there are scripts out there that she has yet
to try ( The remake of Wall Street, Starring: Michael Douglas).
On the other hand I don"t feel shes at the top in any form by
herself, I think Halle Berry is a great actress, both character and
drama as a matter of fact if you look around I bet all the girls are
there maybe just waiting for the right script or director to garner
that "Oscar", from, that girl that starred in, "Alien," to, Bo Derek,
Sharon Stone, Cindy Crawford and Drew Barrymoore. There are a lot of girls that have come over too from foreign countries and decided
to make,"Tinsel Town" ( HollyWood) their home and workplace, they are
very good actresses, indeed. I know, I've seen a great many of their

Is this woman that dumb? Every female on television or film these days is portrayed as way more competent, reliable, and intelligent than her male counterparts. I can't remember the least time I saw an actual man on film.

Katherine, you mention Catherine Zeta Jones Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Diane Lane, Julia Roberts, Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep, Anjelica Houston Drew Barrymore, but they play the same type of character just different movies; except Mirren & Streep. Angelina isn't afraid to get ugly, dirty or beat up in her movies. Men as well as women are drawn to her action movies, and I think that is what makes her more bankable. Halle Berry had it going there for awhile, but you haven't seen her in anything since her pregancy.

The only thing that would make me NOT WANT TO SEE THE MOVE IS IF SHE WERE IN IT!!!! She and Brad both are the most over-rated actors around.

I have only liked Angelina in a few of her movies: The Changeling...Gia...Pushing Tin...Mr. and Mrs. Smith whereas I have LOVED Meryl Streep in EVERY film I have seen her in and Keira Knightley and Michelle Williams and Amy Adams. This what I think about Angelina and Brad Pitt both...sometimes they are mediocre BUT when they score they do it BIG.But I am more apt to see a film with Amy....Meryl...Michelle or Keira because I know I will be getting something quality everytime.
