It looks like the already-busy Neil Marshall is about to get a little busier: Deadline Hollywood is reporting that the Centurion director has just signed on to make a film called Underground. No, it's not another sequel to his fan favorite cave-crawler The Descent; this one explores a whole different kind of subterranean culture. Not a ton is known at this point, but the film's producers were able to shed a little bit of light on the plot for Deadline: "the protagonist is an ambitious young chef who ventures into the terrifying underbelly of extreme cuisine."
Now I think any horror fan can already imagine the incredibly dark directions one could take with a premise like that, so it'll be interesting to see what exactly Underground screenwriter David Cohen considers to be "extreme cuisine". My money says it's probably not going to revolve around poached leatherback turtles and koala soup.
